CEA
Commissariat à l'Énergie Atomique. Créé en 1945. À sa tête, le CIE (Comité de l'Énergie Atomique, présidé par le Premier ministre), un AG (Administrateur Général) et un HC (Haut Commissaire). Le CEA comprend, entre autres, la DAM (Direction des Applications Militaires), l'IRF (Institut de Recherche Fondamentale), l'IPSN (Institut de Protection et de Sûreté Nucléaire), l'IRDI (Institut de Recherche et de Développement Industriel), etc. Par ailleurs, le CEA contrôle un groupe industriel constitué de sociétés de droit privé, dont la COGEMA (Compagnie Générale des Matières Nucléaires) la CISI (Compagnie Internationale de Services en Informatique), Framatome, etc. C'est au Centre d'Études Nucléaires de Fontenay-aux-Roses, dépendant du CEA, que fut mise en service la première pile atomique française (Zoé, en 1948). Diverses études y sont poursuivies (sur les combustibles des réacteurs, sur la fusion thermonucléaire, etc.). Compagnie d'Éclairage et d'Appui. Généralement présente dans un régiment d'infanterie.
